Francisca Hennessy is in discussions to face undisputed bantamweight world champion Dina Thorslund in the UK later this year. Boxxer has offered Thorslund around £250,000 to fight Hennessy in November or December.
Promotional Offer:
"We have made Dina Thorslund an offer that… represents the highest payday of her career… to come to the UK and face Francesca Hennessy," said Hennessy’s promoter Ben Shalom.
Reactions:
Thorslund’s manager, Lee Eaton, confirmed to BBC Sport they are in talks with Hennessy’s representatives. "Boxxer knows what gets the fight made. Let’s see if they can come up with the money and broadcaster deal," he added.
Further details:
Hennessy, who turns 22 in October, would become the youngest undisputed world champion in four-belt history if she defeats Thorslund, currently 32.
Hennessy stopped Aurora de Persio in May for her second stoppage win in nine bouts. Thorslund, after relinquishing titles due to pregnancy, dethroned Cherneka Johnson in August to claim the WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF belts.
