Multan (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd Aug, 2026)
Syed Waseem Hassan, Managing Director Horticulture Agency Multan, visited various city chowks, parks, green belts, and flyovers on Sunday to review ongoing beautification and landscaping activities under the Punjab government’s Green Vision.
During his visit, he inspected completed paintwork at Chungi No. 9 flyover and the walls of Kutchery flyover, and reviewed fresh plantation in decorative planters at Kutchery Chowk. He also assessed landscaping and cleanliness arrangements at Eidgah Park and directed officials to expedite restoration and development work on the lake at Shah Shams Park.
Hassan informed that beautification work along the green belt on Qasoor Gardezi Road was in progress. He instructed officials to carry out additional plantation along the Jamilabad green belt.
"Flyovers across the city have been beautified under a public-private partnership," Hassan stated, emphasizing the installation of permanent planters at various chowks to protect trees and plants from damage. He noted that pillars between Kutchery Chowk and Chungi No. 7 had been freshly painted, and plantation was ongoing around them.
He further mentioned that arrangements were being made for proper irrigation and landscaping of green belts throughout the city. The lake and cafe development project at Shah Shams Park is set to be completed this month, with continuous beautification activities across the city aligning with Chief Minister Punjab’s Green Vision.
