Cleanliness Campaign Expedited To Cleanup Vacant Plots For Healthy Urban Environment
Faisalabad, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) Suthra Punjab Agency has intensified a citywide campaign to clean vacant and neglected plots. Out of 735 identified sites, 583 have already been cleared from accumulated garbage and waste, covering 79.31 percent of the targeted locations.
A spokesman of Suthra Punjab Agency stated that this campaign was launched on the directives of Chief Executive Officer Abid Hussain Bhatti, who emphasized providing a clean and disease-free environment as a top priority. He focused on open and uninhabited plots, long considered a sanitation challenge in various parts of the city.
The intensified operation complements routine cleanliness activities aimed at eliminating garbage heaps and enhancing the urban landscape. Out of 735 vacant plots identified and marked in April, 583 have been completely cleared while cleaning operations continue on an emergency basis for the remaining 152 sites.
CEO Abid Hussain Bhatti expressed satisfaction with the agency’s progress, achieving 79.31 percent of the assigned target. He urged staff to expedite the clearance of remaining plots and submit completion reports, warning against any delays. He highlighted that removing waste from neglected areas would mitigate unpleasant odors, prevent further garbage accumulation, and contribute to a healthier living environment for citizens.
Bhatti emphasized the need for sustained cleanliness through continuous monitoring and effective field operations. He assured the public that Suthra Punjab Agency is committed to transforming Faisalabad into a model clean city and will continue implementing practical measures to elevate sanitation standards across urban areas. The ongoing campaign exemplifies the agency’s dedication to providing citizens with a cleaner, healthier, and more livable environment.
