Commissioner Reviews Petrol Subsidy Arrangements

Commissioner Multan Division, Aamir Kareem Khan, chaired a meeting on Wednesday to review arrangements for the provision of petrol subsidy at filling stations across the division.

The meeting focused on:

  • Facilities offered at petrol pumps
  • Installation and functioning of the mobile application
  • Establishment of facilitation desks
  • Measures for public awareness about the subsidy mechanism

Khan directed all relevant departments to collaborate closely to address citizen concerns and ensure seamless access to the subsidy. He ordered:

  • Activation of facilitation desks at petrol pumps
  • Prompt resolution of issues related to mobile app installation and login
  • Deployment of designated officers at each petrol pump to guide citizens

The meeting was informed that arrangements for the subsidy are in place at 807 petrol pumps across Multan Division, including 322 in Multan, 213 in Khanewal, 173 in Vehari, and 99 in Lodhran.

Khan directed:

  • Providing guidance and facilitation to citizens at major petrol pumps in all tehsils
  • Cluster-wise deployment of officers for effective monitoring
  • Organizing awareness sessions with local journalists, social media influencers, and bloggers to inform the public about the subsidy process and available facilities.

Under Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's special fuel relief scheme, a Rs100 per litre subsidy is fixed for eligible motorcycles, rickshaws, and vehicles up to 800cc. The scheme also provides registration and issuance of fuel tokens for eligible beneficiaries.
