Complete Ban Imposed on Issuance of New Arms Licences Across Sindh – UrduPoint

A complete ban has been imposed across Sindh on the issuance of new arms licences, while the issuance of new arms dealership licences has also been completely prohibited. According to the Sindh home minister’s spokesperson, arms licences will be issued only in exceptional and special cases. The ban will take effect immediately and remain in force until further orders.
No licensing authority will be allowed to issue a new arms licence, while prior approval from the competent authority is mandatory in special cases. All relevant licensing officials have been directed to strictly implement the decision.
