Court Orders Company to Pay Rs50,000 for Charging Extra for Branded Logo Bag

Peshawar Consumer Court declared the additional charge for a bag bearing a brand logo illegal and imposed a total penalty of Rs50,000 on a renowned clothing brand.
The court issued its verdict on a petition challenging the collection of extra charges for a branded logo carrying bag. According to the verdict, Judge Nasrullah Khan Gandapur:
- Imposed a Rs50,000 penalty on the clothing brand.
- Ordered the brand to refund the Rs30 bag charge to the consumer.
- Directed the brand to pay Rs25,000 in compensation.
- Instructed the brand to deposit an additional Rs25,000 fine into the government treasury.
