UAE Relief Team, Nepalese Officials Discuss Recovery Plans
The UAE Relief Team held discussions with Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) to launch a recovery and reconstruction plan. The meeting focused on:
- Urgent needs of flood-affected communities
- Mechanisms for transitioning to the early recovery phase
- Restoring essential services and infrastructure
Dr. Dharam Raj Upreti, Chief Executive of NDRRMA, expressed gratitude for the UAE's rapid response and humanitarian assistance.
The meeting is part of ongoing coordination between the UAE Relief Team and Nepalese authorities to identify urgent projects based on ground needs, aiming to alleviate Nepal's difficult humanitarian situation.
