Crackdown on Drug Peddlers in Chiniot, 6 Arrested with Hashish, Liquor

CHINIOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News) – The police in Chiniot have launched a crackdown against drug peddlers, under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
During separate operations:
- Six suspects were arrested from different areas along with more than 4 kg of hashish, 60 liters of alcohol, and 40 liters of lard.
- Police at Lalian Police Station arrested three drug peddlers riding a motorcycle on a tip-off. 2320 grams of hashish was recovered from their possession.
- In another action, police at Kot Wasawa Police Station raided Chak No. 150 on a tip-off and arrested a drug peddler with 1380 grams of hashish.
- Police at Muhammadwala Police Station conducted a raid on a tip-off and arrested a drug peddler with 320 grams of hashish.
- Meanwhile, police at Langrana Police Station arrested a liquor peddler and seized 60 liters of alcohol and 40 liters of lard.
Cases under narcotics provisions have been registered against all the arrested suspects. Police said further investigation is underway to trace the network behind the supply of drugs in the district.
