Defence Day: Horticulture Agency Decorates Murree Road - UrduPoint

Rawalpindi (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News) (6th Sep, 2026) - The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi on Sunday made special arrangements for decoration, beautification, and public awareness along Murree Road in connection with Defence Day.
Banners featuring messages highlighting the significance of Defence Day have been displayed at various locations along the major thoroughfare. Special lighting and decorative arrangements have also been implemented along green belts and the main road.
The Agency has undertaken cleanliness initiatives, plant trimming, and other beautification activities to foster a sense of patriotism and national unity among citizens.
Managing Director Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, stated: "Defence Day reminds us of the invaluable sacrifices made by our armed forces and martyrs of Pakistan." He further emphasized that special measures are being taken to enhance the beauty of major roads and parks across the city on national occasions, with the arrangements along Murree Road aiming to exemplify a patriotic spirit.
Ranjha directed concerned officers and staff to ensure cleanliness, proper green belt maintenance, and decoration at Murree Road and other significant locations. He pledged that the Horticulture Agency would persist in its efforts to make Rawalpindi greener, cleaner, and more aesthetically pleasing.
