Discover Abu Dhabi Festival To Take Place In Moscow

MOSCOW, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 19th Aug, 2026) The Discover Abu Dhabi Festival opened today at Manezhnaya Square in MOSCOW, running through August 23rd to showcase the culture, heritage, and hospitality of the UAE capital.
Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation, the five-day event is part of the Moscow Mayor’s "Summer in Moscow" program, with support from the Government of Moscow.
The free public festival offers:
- Live performances featuring traditional music ensembles alongside Al-Ayyala and Al Harbiya performances (the latter inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity).
- Dedicated pavilions highlighting UAE traditions, including:
- The House of Artisans showcasing Talli embroidery, Khos palm-leaf weaving, Sadu weaving, and pottery with live workshops.
- Bait Al Gahwa demonstrating traditional Arabic coffee preparation and serving practices in the Emirati majlis.
- The Maritime Pavilion exhibiting Abu Dhabi’s seafaring history through rope-making, pearl-diving equipment, fishing net crafting, and Gargoor fish-trap making.
- An interactive dome with 360-degree projections of Abu Dhabi landmarks, cultural sites, and natural landscapes.
- Retail spaces offering traditional Emirati souvenirs, handcrafted goods, and perfumes, alongside stalls serving regional dishes.
The festival runs daily from 10:00 to 21:00 at Manezhnaya Square.
