DPO Chiniot Chairs Crime Meeting, Orders Crackdown on Serious Crime and Drug Dealers
CHINIOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 17, 2026) A crime meeting of Circle Bhowana and Circle Lalian was held on Monday at the DPO office under the chairmanship of DPO Dr. Naveed Atif.
During the meeting, the law and order situation and crime rate were reviewed, and progress in cases under investigation was discussed.
Naveed directed officers to complete pending investigations promptly and utilize all available resources to arrest accused involved in serious cases. He emphasized on ensuring the safety of people’s lives and property, and tightening the cordon against criminal elements. He ordered an intensified crackdown against criminals and proclaimed offenders.
The DPO stated that drugs are a root cause of generation destruction, directing a surge in intelligence-based operations against drug suppliers with the aim to eliminate the supply chain of drug dealers.
He stressed on addressing citizens’ grievances at police stations and gathering feedback from the public to enhance service delivery.
Dr. Naveed Atif instructed to ensure implementation of Special Initiative Police Station SOPs, with officers making service to the people their motto. He emphasized on upholding the law and improving public service delivery in offices and police stations for timely redressal of citizens’ issues.
