Karachi Police Arrest Over 944 Suspects During Week-long Anti-crime Operations
Karachi Police arrested more than 944 suspects during anti-crime operations across the city’s East, West, and South zones over the past week, according to a police spokesperson.
During this period, district police conducted 26 encounters with suspected robbers, resulting in five suspects being killed and 42, including 30 injured, being arrested. Police seized 38 illegal weapons of various types and 19 motorcycles from the arrested individuals.
Additionally, the operations led to the recovery of:
- 7.286 kg of hashish
- 2.665 kg of ice/crystal meth
- heroin
as well as 178 illegal weapons, ammunition, 16 snatched and stolen motorcycles, and four cars.
