Sindh Green Foundation Plants 100 Trees at 100-Year-Old Government Pilot School
Larkana, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 17, 2026) The Government Pilot Higher Secondary School, Larkana, celebrated its 100th year with a special event. The Green Sindh Foundation planted 100 trees at the school during a ceremony held at the conference hall on Monday.
The gathering included prominent figures such as:
- Zulfiqar Magsi, Founder of Green Sindh Foundation
- Mumtaz Shahani, Vice Principal
- Mujahid Jarwar, Scout Teacher
- Abdul Latif Umrani, Teachers, staff and students.
One hundred saplings were strategically placed in the school parks, emphasizing the importance of trees for a healthy environment. The event aimed to raise awareness about the ecological benefits of plants while transforming the school into a greener space.
Zulfiqar Magsi highlighted the historical significance of the Government Pilot School and its enduring contribution to education over the past century. He emphasized that trees not only provide shade but are essential for clean air and a sustainable future.
Under the leadership of Chairman Dari Town Shahrukh Khan Sial, Green Sindh Foundation aims to plant over 20,000 trees in Larkana city as part of their broader environmental initiative.
Vice Principal Mumtaz Shahani encouraged students to take ownership of this green movement, noting that planting saplings is a powerful way to secure their own future. Scout teacher Mujahid Jarwar concurred, emphasizing the importance of combining education with environmental stewardship and a love for nature.
