Dubai Municipality Opens New Bridge at Mushrif National Park

Dubai Municipality has opened a new 102-metre landmark bridge at Mushrif National Park, offering an uninterrupted and safer mountain biking journey through Dubai’s largest forest. This addition transforms the park into a distinguished outdoor destination, enhancing connectivity and safety for visitors.

The bridge connects previously separated sections of the trail, eliminating the need for riders to cross a road used by vehicles. It features dedicated lanes for both mountain bikers and hikers, ensuring safer interactions across the trail network. The continuous mountain biking journey across the bridge spans 182 metres.

More than just infrastructure, this bridge creates a unique experience within Mushrif National Park, seamlessly blending adventure, movement, and nature. It is part of Dubai Municipality’s ongoing development of Mushrif National Park as a hub for outdoor recreation, adventure, and active lifestyles. The project caters to the growing popularity of mountain biking, hiking, and nature-based activities by providing specialized infrastructure that enhances safety, accessibility, and enjoyment.

As Dubai’s largest forest and a key green space, Mushrif National Park attracts families, fitness enthusiasts, hikers, and nature lovers. The new bridge improves access across trails and natural areas, strengthening the park’s mountain biking and hiking infrastructure.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, stated, "This new bridge is a significant addition to Mushrif National Park, revolutionizing the mountain biking experience by creating a seamless connection between trail sections. Mountain bikers can now enjoy a safer, smoother journey through one of Dubai’s most scenic natural environments without having to cross vehicle roads."

He further added, "Our vision for Mushrif National Park goes beyond individual facilities; we aim to create an integrated outdoor destination where adventure, nature, and active lifestyles converge. This bridge strengthens that vision and introduces a new landmark to Dubai’s largest forest, providing residents and visitors with another compelling reason to explore the park."
