Faheem Lauds Gold Players After Hard-fought Victory

Greens all-rounder Faheem Ashraf praised the fighting spirit of Pakistan Gold players, stating their hard work and resilience in challenging hot conditions deserved full credit for their victory.
Talking to the media after the match, Faheem noted that while the intense heat made conditions difficult, the players demonstrated great determination and gave their best on the field. He specifically mentioned Shamyl, Saad, and other Gold players who contributed to the win.
"It was extremely hot, but our boys gave everything. Shamyl, Saad, and the other Gold players also deserve credit for today’s victory," said Faheem. He added that the team didn’t start as planned, but they responded well and maintained their fight throughout the match.
He further emphasized that there’s ample time before the World Cup and players will have several opportunities in domestic cricket to enhance their performances and prepare for international matches.
"Our new players participating in the tournament possess the ability to represent Pakistan. They need to utilize domestic cricket to further refine their skills," he stated.
Faheem highlighted that individual performances can sometimes be overlooked when a team fails to win, reiterating that team success remains paramount.
Commenting on Shaheen Shah Afridi‘s performance, Faheem described his seven-wicket haul as exceptional, noting it stood out among the rest of the bowling spells.
"Shaheen’s seven-wicket spell was completely different. It was an outstanding performance," Faheem added.
