FCCI President Congratulates New APTMA Chairman, Hails 17th Consecutive Win Of Gohar Group

Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) President Farooq Yousuf Sheikh has welcomed the success of Dr Gohar Ejaz group in the annual elections of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) and described its 17th consecutive victory as a strong endorsement of the confidence reposed in the group by textile industry stakeholders.
He congratulated Asad Shafi on his election as Central Chairman APTMA and expressed hope that the new leadership would work with renewed commitment to address the longstanding challenges confronting the textile sector.
Farooq Yousuf Sheikh stated that the continuous electoral success of Dr Gohar Ejaz group reflected the trust and confidence of the majority of industrialists in its policies, performance, and leadership. He highlighted that the group’s 17th consecutive win was particularly significant as it demonstrated the sustained support of textile industry stakeholders for its leadership.
The FCCI President emphasized the textile sector’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s economy, contributing over 60 percent to the country’s total exports, underscoring its significance as a major pillar of national economic activity and foreign exchange earnings. He urged the new APTMA leadership to resolve the issues faced by textile manufacturers and exporters, collaborating closely with the government and relevant stakeholders for sustainable sector growth.
