Fire Safety Awareness Campaign Launched In Commercial Centers

SUKKUR (APP) – Under the vision of "Safe Sukkur, Strong Pakistan" and on the special directives of Director Civil Defence Sindh, Riaz Hussain Laghari, and Deputy Commissioner & Controller Civil Defence Sukkur, Nadir Shahzad Khan, awareness programs regarding Fire Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been launched in various commercial centers of Sukkur on Tuesday.
In this regard, a session was held where senior officials detailed traders and shopkeepers on fire safety SOPs.
Dr. Saeed Awan emphasized that fire prevention is a shared responsibility, stressing the need to:
- Strictly adhere to fire safety principles
- Keep emergency exits clear
- Avoid unsafe electrical connections
- Ensure the availability and timely use of fire extinguishers
He added that Civil Defence Sukkur aims to promote precautionary measures and safety consciousness, not just conduct relief operations after incidents. They will continue fire safety awareness programs in commercial centers, markets, educational institutions, hospitals, and other public places in Sukkur.
Office bearers of the trader community expressed gratitude to Civil Defence Sukkur for their continuous efforts and committed to strengthening safety practices.
Civil Defence officials assured further cooperation with the trader community for safer markets and a safer Sukkur.
