Five-day Podcasting, Digital Storytelling Boot Camp For Merged Districts Youth Concludes
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) A five-day training boot camp on podcasting and digital storytelling for youth from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s newly merged districts concluded at the business Incubation Centre, University of Peshawar.
Titled “Da Zwanano Awaz – Voice of Youth,” the boot camp was organised in collaboration with the Directorate of Youth Affairs, KP, from August 17 to 21, with the objective of equipping young people with practical skills in podcasting, digital storytelling, content creation and modern digital media.
Training Highlights:
- Participants received hands-on instruction in various stages of podcast production, including topic selection, planning, scriptwriting, recording, editing, and publication on digital platforms.
- Special sessions on digital storytelling focused on developing meaningful and engaging narratives, using digital platforms to reach wider audiences, and effectively highlighting youth perspectives.
- Practical exercises allowed participants to gain experience in producing and presenting digital content.

- Familiarise them with emerging opportunities in the digital economy.
- Enable them to use digital platforms for positive storytelling, public awareness, and social impact.
Training Leadership:
The training was led by Assistant Professor Dr Bakht Zaman Yousafzai, with Sidra Idrees serving as assistant trainer. Participants utilised the Business Incubation Centre’s modern podcast studio, gaining practical experience of podcast production and recording in a professional environment.

Dr Bakht Zaman Yousafzai and Business Incubation Centre focal person Shakeel Khan stated that podcasting and digital storytelling were rapidly expanding fields, making it essential to equip young people with practical skills in these modern forms of communication. They emphasised that such initiatives would help youth effectively communicate their ideas, voices, and stories to wider audiences while exploring emerging opportunities in the digital economy.
They added that “Da Zwanano Awaz” was not limited to the five-day programme and would help pave the way for further training opportunities and activities for youth in digital media, podcasting, and storytelling.
The concluding ceremony featured podcasts produced by the participants, demonstrating the skills acquired during the training. Certificates were also distributed among the participants who successfully completed the programme.
