Food Department Ensures Sale Of 20kg Flour Bag at Official Rate Rs2,520 in DIKhan
The food department, Dera Ismail Khan, has intensified inspections of authorized flour dealers to ensure the availability and transparent distribution of government-subsidized flour at officially fixed prices.
This inspection was conducted by Assistant Food Controller Khaliq-ur-Rehman, accompanied by Food Grain Inspector Muhammad Sajid from the District Food Controller (DFC) Office, Dera Ismail Khan. They followed directives from the Secretary Food, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Director Food, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Deputy Director Food, Dera Ismail Khan Division.
During their visit, officials checked authorized flour dealers’ outlets and reviewed the availability and sale of government flour to guarantee consumers receive the commodity at the specified rate. According to the Food Department, the government has set the price of a 20-kilogram bag of government flour at Rs2,520.
All authorized flour dealers have been instructed to sell the 20-kilogram bag strictly at the fixed price of Rs2,520 and ensure transparent distribution to consumers. The department affirmed that inspections will continue to monitor compliance with the notified price and prevent overcharging or irregularities in the sale of government flour.
