Foreign Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Speeding Car at Lahore’s Cavalry Chowk

A tragic and horrific traffic accident occurred at the T-junction near Cavalry Chowk in Lahore’s densely populated and busiest area, resulting in the on-the-spot death of a foreign national who fell from a motorcycle.
City Traffic Police and Rescue Teams Respond
City Traffic Police and rescue teams immediately reached the scene after being informed of the incident.
According to a City Traffic Police spokesperson, the foreign national was riding a motorcycle when an unidentified speeding car coming from behind hit him. The impact was severe:
- The motorcyclist was thrown into the air and crossed the divider, landing on the opposite side of the road.
- Unfortunately, another speeding vehicle approaching from the opposite direction also struck him, causing critical injuries that resulted in his death at the scene.
Immediate Action Taken
Upon receiving news of the incident, Lahore Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi took immediate notice and issued emergency orders. He directed DSP Cantt Division Muhammad Ashfaq to trace the offending driver using Punjab Safe Cities Authority cameras and all CCTV footage from the area.
