Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to Begin on 3rd December

ABU DHABI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 23rd Aug, 2026) The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place from 3rd to 6th December at Yas Marina Circuit, marking the close of the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship season.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula One, stated that preparations for hosting the event in Abu Dhabi are on track, confirming the championship’s commitment to its scheduled calendar. He highlighted that Abu Dhabi is set to create an exceptional atmosphere for the finale, featuring a packed programme of events and experiences alongside the race.
Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Under-Secretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, expressed pride in hosting Formula 1 since 2009, emphasizing Abu Dhabi’s global standing and its ability to attract significant international sporting events. He noted that the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix contributes to enhancing Abu Dhabi’s appeal as a global destination, boosting tourism, hospitality, and events sectors by attracting visitors worldwide.
Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, confirmed that preparations for the race are progressing smoothly, highlighting collaboration with Formula 1 and partners across the emirate to deliver an exceptional experience for fans, teams, and drivers.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix combines high-stakes competition on the Yas Marina Circuit with a diverse entertainment programme, including concerts and hospitality experiences across Yas Island. It is renowned as one of the most prominent season-ending rounds on the Formula 1 calendar.
