Governor Welcomes Approval Of New South Air Routes From Peshawar
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday welcomed the approval of South Air's operations on the Peshawar-Quetta and Peshawar-Lahore routes, describing it as good news for the people of the province, particularly residents of Peshawar.
In a message, the Governor expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Aviation Authority for approving the new routes, stating that the decision would enhance air connectivity and benefit passengers traveling between the provincial capital and other major cities. He also thanked South Air for launching flights on these sectors in response to his request, emphasizing that this initiative would offer greater travel convenience to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Governor announced that flights from Dera Ismail Khan and Chitral airports would also be launched soon. He mentioned South Air's commitment to commence operations from both airports after the induction of new aircraft into their fleet. Expressing hope for improved regional connectivity, he believes this expansion of domestic air services will facilitate trade and tourism, providing better travel options for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
