Guardians Of Pakistan’s Skies: IGP Rizvi Salutes PAF Heroes On Air Force Day
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Monday paid glowing tribute to the “Shaheens” of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Air Force Day, saluting their courage, professionalism and outstanding role in defending the country’s skies.
An official told APP that in his message marking September 7, Air Force Day, IGP Rizvi said the brave personnel of the PAF had always demonstrated exceptional courage, bravery and professional excellence in the defence of Pakistan. He noted that Air Force Day reminded the nation of the unforgettable sacrifices made in defence of the homeland, adding that the sacrifices of PAF martyrs and war veterans remained a guiding light for the nation.
Rizvi stated that the nation was breathing in a free atmosphere today because of the sacrifices rendered by its martyrs. He expressed his gratitude saying, "The entire nation salutes the guardians of Pakistan’s airspace." Furthermore, he emphasized the PAF's outstanding role in the country’s defence.
The IGP highlighted the services of the Pakistan Air Force towards national defence and security, describing them as unforgettable and proudly remembered. He asserted that Air Force Day strengthened the spirit of patriotism and the resolve to defend the homeland.
IGP Rizvi also extended his warmest salutes to all PAF officers, personnel, martyrs, and their families, paying tribute to their services and sacrifices for Pakistan.
