RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News20th Aug, 2026) The Punjab Home Department has mandated the adoption of an online digital inventory system for all Business Arms License (BAL) holders across Rawalpindi Division and the province, setting an August 26 deadline for dealers to register their complete existing weapon and ammunition stocks.

Under CM Punjab’s initiative for a safer province, the Home Department has deployed the Business Arms License inventory module on the Punjab Arms License online portal. Arms dealers are now legally required to digitize their inventory including firearms, ammunition, and related accessories, and record all future sales and purchases on the central digital platform.

The Home Department has dispatched dealer profiles to all DCs across the province, directing them to supervise local compliance and submit formal verification reports once district stock entries are finalized.

According to the details, non-compliant arms dealers facing the August 26 deadline risk legal sanctions, including license suspension, business premises sealing, and heavy administrative fines.

To facilitate smooth technical integration, a special training workshop on the inventory module will be hosted at the Punjab Forensic Science Authority on August 24. Dealers in Rawalpindi and other districts can participate virtually through their respective Deputy Commissioner offices to learn portal operations and clarify queries.

The digitized inventory structure aims to establish real-time oversight of commercial firearm sales, curtail illegal weapons trade, and bring end-to-end transparency to provincial arms management.
