IHC to Hear Sentence Suspension Pleas of Imaan Mazari, Hadi Ali Chattha on Sept 8
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 20, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed September 8 for hearing petitions seeking suspension of sentences awarded to Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha in a case related to controversial tweets.
According to the cause list issued by the IHC Registrar’s Office, Justice Muhammad Azam Khan will hear the petitions filed by the two convicts.
Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha had approached the high court in January seeking suspension of the sentences awarded to them by the trial court in the controversial tweets case. The petitions have now been scheduled for hearing on September 8.
