IIOJK Occupation: The Real Face of India’s Pseudo Democracy

As the world celebrates International Day of Democracy on September 15, 2026, the BJP-led Indian government continues its occupation and denial of democratic rights to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to a report by Kashmir Media Service, the Indian occupation forces are flouting all democratic norms in IIOJK, where the region remains under a brutal military siege, silencing the voices of its inhabitants through oppressive laws.

The report highlights how India, driven by its Hindutva BJP/RSS agenda, has stripped Kashmiris of their rights and uses military force to crush their right to self-determination.

Since August 5, 2019, when the BJP-led Indian regime illegally revoked Articles 370 and 35A, the situation in IIOJK has deteriorated further. Despite facing state terrorism and oppressive laws for 79 years, the people of IIOJK remain resolute in their struggle for freedom.

The report argues that the Hindutva BJP government cannot silence the Kashmiris’ demand for self-determination through force. It urges the world to recognise the true nature of India under BJP/RSS rule, exposing it as a communal Hindu fundamentalist state disguised as a democratic nation.
