LARKANA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Aug, 2026) On the final day of the ongoing Sports Festival in District Larkana, organized by the Sports Department of Sindh in connection with Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day celebration, the Girls’ Badminton Championship was held at Officers Club Larkana on Tuesday, in which female students from various schools and colleges of District Larkana participated enthusiastically.

- Other Guests: Zafarullah Abbasi, General Secretary of the Larkana Badminton Association Anila Abro, Senior Director of Physical education at Government Arts and Commerce College Larkana, and Mona, Director of Physical Education at Government Begum Nusrat Bhutto Girls College Larkana.

Ghunzafar Ali Shah, the chief guest, emphasized the importance of organizing sports competitions in connection with Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations, stating that it fosters a healthy environment among the youth. Competition Outcomes:
In the intense badminton matches, Government Girls College Larkana emerged as the champion, while Government B.N.B Girls College Larkana secured the runner-up position. The guests honored the winning and losing teams with trophies and prizes, congratulating the players on their outstanding performance.
The organizers and attendees commended the event, highlighting the need to provide more sporting opportunities for youth on such occasions.
