JKLF Condemns False Implication of Incarcerated Party Chairman Yasin Malik Languishing in Delhi’s Tihar Jail?

The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF-Yasin) has once again strongly condemned the false implication of incarcerated party chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik by the government of India in a 36-year-old gruesome murder case of Sarla Bhat, a local Kashmiri Pandit woman.

In a statement issued from the party’s central information office, JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar said that on Sunday, during the hearing of the case in additional session court Srinagar, advocate Abu Adil Pandit, on the directions of Yasin Malik, sought permission to withdraw his power of attorney (vakalatnama).

It is worth mentioning that Yasin Malik, while acknowledging the malicious intent of the Indian government, has not only denied the accusation but also decided not to contest the case. The 25-page affidavit submitted by Malik in this court exposed the Indian authorities' lengths to fulfill political agendas.

The statement read:

While presenting the actual facts of the Sarla Bhat murder case, Yasin Malik questioned the authorities and the Indian government for their inaction over 36 years. During the court hearing, Malik confirmed the details provided in his affidavit as true and stated that he would not contest the case due to false implications.

In the meantime, the JKLF has expressed its dissatisfaction with the ongoing stalemate in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), which has deteriorated to a critical point. The spokesman reiterated the party's stance that dialogue is the only way to resolve issues, emphasizing that the JKLF is willing to act as a mediator if both parties agree to settle the crisis through conversation.
