KP Chief Minister’s Street Movement Lacks Public Support: Azma Bukhari

"I was ignored on the footpath yesterday and made to get up from my chair today; he is a guest, and should not be treated this way," said Punjab Information and Culture Minister Uzma Bukhari on social media platform X. She shared her experience regarding Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister’s visit to Lahore.
"Lahore residents, we had to see this day too—this is regrettable," stated Bukhari. She expressed that the Chief Minister was ignored on the footpath and asked to leave his chair, emphasizing that he should have been treated better as a guest.
The minister shared videos showing public reaction, where people were seen saying, "You are liars," while guards pushed them back, and the concerned individual turned away innocently. She noted that this incident is not uncommon nowadays.
"Please show me anyone other than the police, guards, and YouTubers," said Bukhari in another video. She questioned why people were hiding their belongings during the street movement, highlighting the lack of public support.
Bukhari concluded by stating that it’s up to the viewers to decide about the public turnout based on the footage she provided at 8:23 p.m., adding that there was no significant crowd and traffic was being stopped for video recording purposes.
