KP Govt Should Focus on Providing Relief and Solving People's Issues

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Sep, 2026)

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, and PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President, Engineer Amir Muqam, has urged the provincial government to prioritize providing relief to citizens and addressing their problems. He expressed his concerns over the postponement of the long march and called for a greater focus on countering terrorism and tackling public issues in the province.

In response to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi's statements, Amir Muqam stated that the people of the province have rejected the politics of chaos. He questioned the delivery of services over the past 14 years, highlighting the continued presence of terrorism and unrest while the government focused on marches.

The federal minister accused both PTI and the provincial government of lacking a clear agenda to effectively combat terrorism. He recalled the history of suicide attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and asked families affected by terrorism about the pain they endured.

Amir Muqam emphasized that the police should not be used for political purposes, highlighting the sacrifices made by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the fight against terrorism. He expressed his opposition to dragging the police into politics.

Referring to the planned October 4 call, he stated that it would disrupt routine life and create further difficulties for the public.
