KP Launches International Skills Training Programme For Youth
KP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) has launched a pioneering program aimed at empowering young people with globally recognized skills and certifications, enhancing their prospects for employment both domestically and internationally. This initiative, under the NH-P Tobacco Cess Development Programme, involves a collaboration with the Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology in Haripur.
The program offers training in diverse areas:
- Cybersecurity
- Artificial Intelligence
- Mobile repair
- Plumbing
- Technical skills
- Solar panel installation
- E-commerce
- IOSH, NEBOSH, OSHA (international safety standards)
- International languages
Participants will be awarded internationally recognized certifications, with special scholarships in robotics and cybersecurity available through partnerships with Germany and Austria.
Speaking at the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser emphasized the program’s role in providing global-standard training and international educational opportunities, empowering youth and contributing to regional economic growth. MPA Rangez Khan highlighted the initiative’s potential to promote quality education and practical skills, fostering better employment prospects.
Project Director Hashmat Ali revealed that over two dozen technical, digital, and healthcare courses are being introduced initially in Swabi, with plans for expansion across the province.
