KP Mines Minister Invites Chinese Investors To Tap Province’s Mineral Potential

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Mines and Minerals, Arif Ahmadzai, has invited Chinese investors and mining companies to explore the province’s vast mineral resources, assuring them of full government facilitation and foolproof security.

He made these remarks during a visit to China Window, the Chinese cultural and information centre in Peshawar, where he toured different galleries and learned about their initiatives promoting Pakistan-China friendship.

Ahmadzai appreciated China Window’s role in fostering connections between Pakistan and China, describing it as an important contribution to strengthening the countries’ time-tested friendship.

Talking to the media, the minister highlighted the robust Pakistan-China partnership spanning economic development, infrastructure, industry, education, culture, and people-to-people cooperation. He believes the next significant step in this partnership should involve greater Chinese participation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s mining and mineral sectors.

The province boasts rich mineral resources with immense potential for responsible mining, mineral processing, and value addition. Ahmadzai stressed the need to focus on modern technology, processing facilities, and industry establishment to create job opportunities and contribute to the provincial economy, rather than merely exporting raw materials.

He extended an open invitation to Chinese investors, mining companies, and technology providers to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, study its mineral potential, and explore joint venture opportunities for long-term investment. He assured them of every possible facilitation from the provincial government.

"Chinese companies have extensive experience, modern technology, and expertise in mining and mineral processing," he said. "We welcome their investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will ensure foolproof security arrangements for Chinese nationals and companies operating in the province."

Ahmadzai noted that investing in mineral exploration, adopting modern mining techniques, and establishing value-added industries could generate thousands of jobs, increase provincial revenues, and transform mineral-rich areas into economic hubs.
