Major Relief for Indian Citizens as Uzbekistan Allows 30-Day Stay Without Uzbek Visa

Uzbekistan has granted a significant relief to Indian citizens, allowing them to stay for up to 30 days without a separate Uzbek visa if they hold valid multiple-entry business or tourist visas for specific countries.

According to the Indian Embassy in Tashkent, this facility is available to Indian passport holders with valid visas for the following countries:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Japan
  • New Zealand
  • South Korea
  • Schengen Agreement member states
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

The embassy further stated that travelers must possess a confirmed air ticket for return or onward travel to their home country or a third country.

While this move is expected to simplify international travel for Indian tourists and business travelers, those who do not meet the specified conditions will still need to obtain the relevant visa under Uzbekistan’s existing regulations.
