Morgah Police Arrest Three-member Gang Targeting Overseas Returnees
RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) Morgah Police have arrested a three-member inter-district gang allegedly involved in robbing citizens returning from abroad and have recovered mobile phones, laptops and other valuables worth Rs 10.3 million.
According to a police spokesman, the operation was carried out on a special task assigned by City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera to apprehend the gang. Police recovered 22 mobile phones, 15 laptops, 100 AirPods and 100 watches from the arrested suspects.
The gang allegedly targeted citizens returning from abroad, police said, adding that the suspects were arrested with the help of technical and human intelligence. Police stated that further important revelations were expected during the investigation, while efforts were under way to arrest the gang’s other accomplices.
