MPA Daud Afridi Orders Probe Into Sumari Road Construction Quality
KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 16, 2026) MPA and District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Chairman Daud Shah Afridi on Wednesday ordered an inspection of the ongoing construction work on Sumari Road here following a public complaint about the quality of the project.
Afridi inspected the project along with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance) and a monitoring team, examining the construction quality, materials being used, and progress of work. He sought a detailed briefing from officials regarding compliance with approved standards and specifications, directing them to ensure transparency and quality in the project.
The MPA stated that development schemes funded with public money must meet prescribed standards, warning against substandard work. He directed authorities to take action if any violation was established during the inspection.
"I do not indulge in corruption and will not allow anyone else to do so," Afridi said, directing officials and contractors to maintain transparency and adhere to approved standards.
He instructed authorities to properly investigate complaints about development projects through on-site inspections, directing them to proceed against those responsible for negligence, poor workmanship, or other irregularities.
