Open Court Held In Kalat To Address Public Issues
QUETTA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) District Administration Kalat organized an open court on Thursday under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner Asad Sumalani, following directives from Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Home Minister Mir Zia Langove.
During the open court, participants discussed several pressing issues facing the city:
- Prolonged load shedding of electricity
- Law and order situation in Kalat
- City cleanliness
- Construction of a cold storage in the teaching hospital
- Difficulty obtaining local certificates
- Lack of gas availability
- Installation of a private gas plant
- Bank closures
- Frequent meetings of the NADRA office committee
- Elimination of encroachments in Kalat Bazaar
- Shortage of drinking water
Key figures present included: FC Major Omar, DSP Mahiwal, heads of all departments, area dignitaries, political and social leaders, and journalists.
Maulana Rahmdil Halimi, Shadi Khan Mengal, Wadera Rahim Mengal, Abdul Waheed Mengal, Haji Ghulam Qadir Umrani, Ghulam Mustafa Pardesi, Nisar Ahmed Muhammad Raza Amjadi and others raised issues on behalf of petitioners.
Assistant Commissioner Asad Samalani promptly addressed the petitions, assuring participants that he would work towards resolving their concerns under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Engineer Ayesha Zehri, with a focus on enhancing service delivery in the area.
