BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Sep, 2026) Future Pakistani competitors in Electrical Installation should focus on technical drafting, cable routing, wiring and installation, and automation systems adhering to international standards, according to Mudassar Hussain, Pakistan's representative in Electrical Installation at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai.
For Mudassar, these insights are crucial takeaways from Pakistan’s debut at this global skills competition. "Observing more advanced technologies and work methods in Shanghai can aid Pakistani competitors' preparation for future international events," he shared with CEN.
Mudassar, a student at the Government College of Technology (GCT) Sahiwal, nurtured his interest in electrical work during childhood, inspired by watching electricians at a local repair shop in his village. He progressed through Pakistan's WorldSkills selection process, advancing from district-level to national competitions before securing a place in Shanghai.
The WorldSkills Competition, recognized as the world’s largest and most influential vocational skills competition, gathers 1,385 young professionals from 68 countries and regions in Shanghai from September 22 to 27 to compete across 64 vocations.
