PESCO Disconnects Six Transformers Over Rs9mln Unpaid Dues

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has disconnected power supply from six transformers in Tajabad Sub-Division over non-payment of electricity dues, the company spokesman said on Thursday.

According to the spokesman, two transformers were disconnected on Tajabad-2 feeder, while four others were disconnected on Regi Lalma Kacha Ghari feeder. He said outstanding dues against the consumers connected to the six transformers had exceeded Rs9 million. The consumers had repeatedly been served notices to clear their outstanding bills, but failed to make payments, the spokesman added.

He said power supply to the transformers would remain suspended until all outstanding electricity dues were cleared.
