PHOTA Budgets For FY 2025-26, FY 2026-27 Approved
The revised budget estimate for the financial year 2025-26 and the budget estimate for 2026-27 of the Punjab Human Organ Transplantation Authority (PHOTA) were approved on Wednesday.

According to the Health Department, the budgets were approved during the 41st meeting of the PHOTA Monitoring Authority, chaired by Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique.

- Professor Dr Muhammad Amir Zaman Khan, Director General PHOTA, presented various agenda items.
- Dean PKLI Professor Dr Faisal Saud Dar received the Hilal-e-Imtiaz and was congratulated by the provincial minister and members of the Monitoring Authority.
Minister’s Statement:
Khawaja Salman Rafique stated that in line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision, PHOTA’s capacity is being enhanced to provide best healthcare facilities to citizens. He emphasized strict action against illegal human organ transplantation in Punjab, highlighting PHOTA’s role in saving thousands of lives.
PHOTA Development:
Professor Dr Muhammad Amir Zaman Khan affirmed that PHOTA is being developed along modern lines in accordance with the provincial government’s vision. He stressed zero tolerance for those involved in illegal human organ transplantation in Punjab.
