PM Shehbaz Sharif Provides Major Relief on Petrol Prices: Maryam Nawaz

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif welcomed the Federal government’s relief package for the public and thanked Nawaz Sharif for it.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2026) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed delight over the Federal government’s Prime Minister’s Relief Package aimed at easing public hardship and alleviating economic pressure.
In a statement, she praised the PML-N leadership's timely action in approving and implementing this package, extending special thanks to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif.
According to Maryam Nawaz Sharif, soaring petroleum prices were affecting every segment of society—from individuals to industries. At a time when people already faced economic strain due to inflation, she noted that the PML-N leadership had again demonstrated its commitment to public welfare by providing this package.
She emphasized that supporting citizens during these challenging times and addressing their economic concerns was a core promise of the PML-N manifesto.
The Punjab Chief Minister further stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, following special directives from Nawaz Sharif, had approved a comprehensive relief package to mitigate the impact on ordinary citizens' purchasing power. She attributed the unprecedented rise in global crude oil prices as causing severe economic difficulties worldwide, particularly in developing countries like Pakistan.
