Probationery Officers of 53rd Common Training Programme Visit Hyderabad, Briefed On Development Projects
Hyderabad, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Sep, 2026) A delegation of probationary officers from the 53rd Common Training Programme and 48th Specialized Training Programme visited Hyderabad as part of their Inland Study Tour. They were welcomed by Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayaz Hussain Abbasi and Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon at Shahbaz Hall, where they received an overview of recent and ongoing development projects in the city.
Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon highlighted several key initiatives, including:
- Auto Bhan Road
- Sehrish Nagar Bypass
- Hassan Ali Effendi Park
- Renovation and maintenance of Niaz Stadium
He also discussed ongoing flagship projects such as:
- Auto Bhan Road Phase-II
- Dualization of the road from Shahbaz Flyover to Latifabad No. 7 Underpass
- Alamdar Chowk to ex-NH-5 Road
- Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Flyover
- Phuleli Bridge connecting University Road with Kali Mori
Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayaz Hussain Abbasi emphasized that development projects are undertaken through relevant departments and local government institutions, considering citizen input. He stated that major projects involve multiple stakeholders, ensuring public concerns are addressed through consultation.
The officers actively participated in discussions, asking questions about water provision, project identification, prioritization, and urban development in general. The Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner answered their queries, providing insights into relevant mechanisms and ongoing initiatives.
Deputy Commissioner Zain-ul-Abideen Memon also informed the delegation of upcoming priorities, including:
- Improving emergency facilities at Civil Hospital
- Restoration of deteriorated monuments and heritage buildings
- Beautification initiatives
He further noted that Hyderabad has 11 water filtration plants with four additional ones under development. Chlorination facilities are being implemented across all plants.
At the conclusion, a shield was presented to the representative of the visiting delegation, while traditional Lungi gifts were given to other participating officers as a symbol of hospitality.
