PTI Local Leader In Rawalpindi Dies In Police Custody

Ijaz Satti suffered a heart attack after his arrest, while police reportedly left his body at DHQ Hospital, a private TV channel reported.

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Sep, 2026) A local Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Ijaz Satti, allegedly died during police action. The final cause of death will be determined after confirmation by the relevant authorities.

According to a private tv channel, the Rawalpindi police arrested PTI local leader Ijaz Satti at the Westridge police station today. Police were taking him away in a vehicle when he allegedly suffered a heart attack on the way.

Sources said police left Ijaz Satti’s body at DHQ Hospital and departed. Further details of the incident and the final cause of death will emerge after confirmation by the relevant authorities. Ijaz Satti had also previously been a PTI candidate from Cantonment board Ward No. 6.
