Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court Announces Decision
The Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court has scheduled to pronounce its decision on September 28th in a case related to the November 26 PTI protest. The hearing was conducted by Judge Tahir Abbas Spara.
During the session, one of the accused expressed his desire for an immediate verdict, asserting confidence in the court's justice. He cited his appearance before the court as a sign of trust.
Judge Spara responded by stating that all remaining accused should submit their statements under Section 342 on Monday. The judge also inquired about the absence of certain accused named in the case, to which lawyer Murtaza Turi attributed ongoing raids at PTI workers' homes. He claimed that individuals in police uniforms and plainclothes were breaking cameras, causing fear among the accused and preventing their court appearances.
The court then adjourned proceedings until September 28th.
