Rally Held In Mirpurkhas On International Day For Victims Of Religious-based Violence

On the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Violence Based on Religion or Belief, the District Administration Mirpurkhas organized a rally from the Commissioner Complex.
The rally was led by Assistant Commissioner Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Kaniyo and attended by a large number of people belonging to different faiths.
Addressing the participants, Assistant Commissioner Ghulam Hussain Kaniyo said, "Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was sent as a mercy to the entire world and islam does not permit injustice against anyone belonging to any religion."
He continued, stating that "people of all faiths in Pakistan enjoy the freedom to perform their religious worship and rituals" and emphasized the need for unity against elements who misuse religion to promote terrorism and hatred. He added that while the Pakistan Armed Forces are playing their role in eliminating terrorism, citizens also have a responsibility to contribute towards maintaining peace and order, promoting mutual respect, and strengthening religious harmony.
Civil society representative Shehzado Malik and education Department representative Allah Bachayo echoed these sentiments, highlighting Sindh’s reputation as a land of peace, love, brotherhood, and tolerance where people of different religions live together with mutual respect.
Dr. Sarup, Vice President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Minority Wing Sindh, its President Balm, and other minority representatives also emphasized the importance of religious freedom, tolerance, and promoting brotherhood.
