The Ministry of Information has stated that no official or credible report indicates any damage to Pakistani Air Force aircraft in Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan Rejects Social Media Reports
Pakistan has firmly rejected claims circulating on social media suggesting that Pakistani Air Force JF-17 fighter jets suffered damage during a Houthi missile attack in Saudi Arabia. According to Arab news, the Ministry of Information made this clarification on Sunday, attributing the false reports to Indian propaganda accounts on social media.
No Credible Evidence of Damage
The ministry emphasized that there is no official or credible source confirming any harm to the Pakistani Air Force's JF-17 aircraft deployed in Saudi Arabia. They also denied reports suggesting that the jets were damaged and subsequently moved, calling these claims baseless.
Context of Increased Houthi Attacks
Pakistan issued this clarification amid a rise in Houthi drone and missile attacks on Saudi Arabia. Pakistan has a defense cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia, leading to the deployment of military personnel and equipment in the kingdom.
Recent Incidents:
- Thursday: Debris from a Houthi drone intercepted by Saudi air defenses fell in Taif, resulting in the death of a Yemeni national and injuries to a Saudi woman and a Pakistani citizen.
- Two Days Earlier: A drone was intercepted south of Makkah, attempting to enter the city's airspace.
During the current month, numerous individuals have been injured in Houthi attacks in southern Saudi Arabia, and some energy-related facilities have also sustained damage.
