Rubina Khalid Calls For Collective Efforts To Support Vulnerable Segments
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid on Wednesday called for collective efforts to serve humanity, support people in distress and help deserving and vulnerable segments of society.
In her message on World Humanitarian Day, she said that humanitarianism was not merely an emotion but also meant taking practical steps to support the weaker and deserving sections of society.
Senator Rubina Khalid stated that the Benazir Income Support Programme is pursuing the Government of Pakistan’s mission of providing social protection to deserving families. She highlighted BISP’s role in aiding millions by offering financial assistance to those facing economic hardships.
The BISP Chairperson emphasized that deprived and vulnerable segments of society should not be left alone. She noted that World Humanitarian Day serves as a reminder to everyone to serve suffering humanity and extend a helping hand to those in need.
“Let us pledge that we will play our role in helping deserving people around us and protecting their rights,” she added.
