Special Medical Board Formed For Abid Charlie At LGH

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 27, 2026) On the special direction of the Punjab government, a four-member special medical board has been constituted at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) to ensure the provision of quality medical treatment to prominent comedian Muhammad Siddique, popularly known as Abid Charlie.
LGH Medical Superintendent Professor Dr Faryad Hussain said this while discussing the treatment of the renowned comedian on Sunday. He stated that artists are a valuable asset and all available medical resources are being utilized to ensure Abid Charlie’s early recovery.
Prof Dr Shandana Tariq has been appointed chairperson of the special medical board, while Prof Dr Javed Asghar Magsi, Dr Taiba Saleem and Dr Rashid are its members.
Professor Dr Faryad Hussain emphasized that health professionals are working round the clock to provide Abid Charlie with quality healthcare. He added that the medical board is continuously monitoring the patient’s condition as he remains under treatment in Medical Unit-II/High Dependency Unit (HDU). He confirmed that the treatment of the renowned artist is continuing under the supervision of the high-level medical board.
