KHANEWAL, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) A teenager was killed and another sustained critical injuries after a speeding bus struck their motorcycle from the rear near Arif Abad on Friday.
According to Rescue 1122, the victims were identified as:
- Umar Farooq, son of Muhammad Ramzan, aged 19.
- Abdullah, son of Qasim, aged 15.
The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to overturn, resulting in the instant death of Umar Farooq, while Abdullah was critically wounded.
Rescue teams reached the site immediately and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital. The families of the deceased and the injured were subsequently informed.
The heirs of the deceased, Umar Farooq, declined to cooperate with the hospital administration for a post-mortem examination and subsequently took his body home. Meanwhile, Abdullah remains under medical treatment at the hospital.
Police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. A case was registered. Further investigation was underway.
