"My family members were swept away by the flood in front of my eyes… This flood took everything."
Her son, Sugam Malla, recounted pulling his mother to safety but expressed deep concern for his sister, whose phone is no longer reachable.
Goma Pandit also lost her buffaloes and valuable crops, emphasizing the immense destruction caused by the floods:

Trekking guide Sonam Dorjee narrowly missed the flood in his village by leaving just an hour earlier. He described hearing the sound of the flood like an earthquake and seeing the devastation when he returned:
"Many survivors are now left without homes… They need emergency rescue, food, temporary accommodation, and medical support."
The floods have left a profound impact on the community, with Dorjee praying for the safe return of his sister, Dechen Tamang, and others still missing.
