I personally led the election campaigns of all these people amid an atmosphere of fear and pressure; had I not stepped into the field, the party’s very existence might have been at risk, says Sher Afzal Khan Marwat.
Personal Campaigns
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Sep, 2026) PTI Member of the National Assembly, Sher Afzal Marwat, has stated that those criticizing him over his resignation should offer their own resignations first. He emphasized that he had personally managed the election campaigns for all these individuals. According to sources, Marwat remarked:
"I ran the election campaigns of all of them. Those who couldn’t even hold corner meetings in their constituencies—I visited every one of their constituencies and personally led their campaigns. At that time, there was an atmosphere of fear and pressure."
He further added that if he hadn’t taken initiative, perhaps the party’s survival would have been questionable.
Questioning the Chief Minister
Marwat also directed his remarks at Sohail Afridi, suggesting that before questioning him, the Chief Minister should answer Imran Khan’s queries. He highlighted Imran Khan’s stance against drone attacks in the province and his call for registering cases against perpetrators. Khan had also opposed new operations while funds were allocated for them contrary to these statements.
"Khan sahib said that even if the government goes, you must resist the unconstitutional actions of the federal government and the establishment."
Abduction and Election Fraud Allegations
Marwat alleged that under their own government, Murad Saeed’s secretary had been abducted. He also claimed election fraud in Haripur while their administration was in power. "Chief Minister sahib, tell us what achievements you have made. Eleven months have passed, and there’s no tangible progress towards Imran Khan’s release."
